How to check the GPU fan on Toshiba Tecra M4 tablet?

Got a problem on my toshiba Tecra M4 tablet notebook. It will hang after about 10 to 15 mins usage. My first guess is the overheat on GPU (not cpu). So, I opened the bottom case and make the GPU fan exposed. Try to turn it on again, the cpu fan is running, but the GPU fan is not, is this indicating the GPU fan is dead and need to be replaced? In another word, how should I know the GPU fan is working or not.

Thanks for your advise!

answer
Play a demanding game or benchmark to really heat up the gpu - the fan must turn on then, if not - then it is likely defective (there might be other issues, but you would still need to replace the fan first anyways to troubleshoot other problems).

Good luck.

You can also try cutting the wires on the fan and connect a power source to them to see if the fan spins at all.
